Born in Birkenhead in 1977,  Mike spent most of his upbringing in North Wales.  Spending almost all of his childhood years in the Village of Llanddona (famous for it legends about witches!) situated on the East side of the Isle of Anglesey.

After moving down to study at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, 1997.  Mike completed his BA in fine art in 2000 with first class hons. Subsequently returning a few years later to complete his masters of fine art in 2006. 

Mike's practice is currently developing at Tactilebosch studio and gallery (Llandaff).  Working in a variety of media, his most recent pieces have included motor driven sculptures, video installation and digital technology.  The various themes explored (place, nature and technology), have been driven by a desire to signify process and action.

Married to wife Gill (who is 5 months pregnant), they have a  son Wil, who is two years old.  Mike also teaches as a 0.6 lecturer at Swansea  College.
